  As smokers we all know that dreaded moment when we’re ready to pack that bowl, or roll that fattie, but alas we’ve got no smoking implement at hand. So as we stoners do, we must improvise! But don’t let desperate times call for desperate measures, at least not when it comes to using aluminum or plastic.  I know how tempting it sounds to use that empty can, piece of aluminum foil, or soda bottle you have lying around, to breathe new life into what was trash, but you should really think twice about the serious health risks these measures might entail.
Aluminum toxicity can lead to a plethora of serious and unwanted side effects.
It can accumulate in your bones and central nervous system, leading to osteopenia, which is a precursor to osteoporosis (or bone density loss)
in high doses can be a neurotoxin altering the function of the blood brain barrier (increasing the ability of drugs and other chemicals to cause adverse effects in the brain, and be neurotoxic themselves).
There’s also a substantial amount of evidence pointing to aluminum being a leading factor to developing Alzheimer’s Disease, and inhaling aluminum vapors leading to its early onset.
  Alzheimer’s is not a fun disease, it’s symptoms include confusion, memory loss, language breakdown,  and eventually body function loss which leads to death.  Doesn’t sound fun, does it?
 PCB’s in plastic also have a wide array of adverse health effects. It’s linked to:
cancers
impaired immune function
early onset of puberty, depression and other emotional disorders
Parkinson’s
reproductive harm
the list goes on and on.
 Remember when you smoke it heats the bud as well as whatever you have containing it, it is possible to cause transfer of materials, which then you inhale. While the amount that you inhale might be pretty low, the cumulative effects can be very detrimental. When you inhale the material is absorbed through the lungs and are sent on a lovely trip into your blood stream, and sometimes these pesky foreign substances build up in your system, because the body just can’t process them.
 But fear not, because as I said, we’re a creative bunch, and if improvising is the name of the game you’ve got options that aren’t quite so terrible for you. Like our good friends;
Mr. apple,  or potato, or carrot, watermelon,  basically any fruit or veggie you can carve a bowl and a carb into! A cheap and easy solution.
 Try to keep spare papers in your wallet.
Or just wait until you have proper smoking accoutrement to light up
… so, in short, when you’re in a pinch, don’t harsh your high for the sake of convenience.

Friends don’t let friends smoke tin foil. When you use drugs irresponsibly, you’re just giving the government more ammunition to demonize all drug users.
